Pioneer CDJ-3000

Product description

This device is mostly ordered by those who are already familiar with the predecessor CDJ-2000NXS and CDJ-2000NXS2 models, so I would rather just mention the differences and novelties.
Special:
- Larger and high resolution display, displays waveforms very accurately
-The menu stepper encoder button has a much better ergonomic design, it is very convenient to use
There are -2 new processors in the device (a 2-core 1.5Ghz and a 4-core 1.2Ghz), which makes the scanning and handling of tracks very fast, the handling of hot cue points
-96KHz 32Bit audio signal processing, the machine sounds very good and the range of playable formats has been expanded: ALAC, AAC, AIFF, FLAC, mp3, WAV
-The Jog wheel has a new mechanic, its structure is much more stable and robust
-The pitch can also be adjusted and synchronized
- Compared to the previous maximum of 4 players, 6 players can be networked
-The middle display is capable of displaying covers, very useful when searching for tracks
- New type of play and cue buttons, more accurate playback start
- 8 Hot Cue buttons instead of the previous 4
-Colorful waveform, can display deep, medium and high sound waves separately
- Through the Pro DJ Link and an interface, it is possible to control the lights in full harmony with the music

 
Disadvantages, because unfortunately there are also:
-They have increased the brightness of the display, but still not enough for summer outdoor parties.
-The mains plug is equipped with a safety lock that is difficult to press.
-The ethernet connector must be plugged in the opposite way as in the case of previous devices, and this requires habituation, and if you connect 2000 and 3000 devices to the network together, it is deceptive to plug the connectors in two different directions.
The lock of the ethernet connector is difficult to access, it is difficult to pull out the connector.
I note that they really could have put at least two Ethernet channels on the device and then the machines could have been networked without using a separate switch.
-The fan and one of its ventilation holes are located at the bottom of the device, but since the bottom of the player is very close to the table, this arrangement is not necessarily good.
- When powered on, it no longer displays the current firmware version as 2000NXS2, so it must be checked separately in the menu.
This machine will mostly be purchased and operated by rental companies like me, where it is important to always have the latest firmware on the device.
It is a cumbersome and time-consuming process to check the machines one by one.
I have 60 such devices on a mixed display and on a pallet that must always be kept up-to-date.
With so many machines, it matters how quickly and easily you can check and update your software.
-The serial number of the devices cannot be set by clicking on the serial number icon on the display, but only from the menu. It is also a time-consuming operation.
