The Shure MX153 Earring Microphone is a subminiature professional earring microphone designed for clear sound reproduction during live performances, services, shows and conferences. The ultra-lightweight single-ear frame is paired with an omnidirectional capacitor capsule to form a discreet microphone. The matte finish naturally fits into a wide range of skin colours.

How is MX153 different?

The MX153 is distinguished from basic ear mics by Shure CommShield technology that suppresses RF interference, as well as Kevlar-reinforced cable designed for everyday professional use. CommShield protects the capsule from interference from mobile RF devices and digital bodypack transmitters. The capsule also provides increased protection against explosive consonants without the proximity effect.

Capsule & Directional Characteristics

The subminiature electret capacitor capsule is the heart of the MX153, which is tuned to reproduce speech. The omnidirectional directional characteristic picks up sound evenly from all directions, so the sound level remains constant even when the speaker turns their head.
