Technics SL-1200MK5

Product description

Technics is a turntable standard in the discotheque world - with a short interruption - it has been produced for more than 40 years with the same technical content, apart from a few refinements.
For a long time, it was the only and inimitable turntable in any worthwhile disco.
At the end of the 90s, Technics clones appeared, which had a hauntingly similar appearance to the original, but with a technical content that did not even come close to it.
In the 2000s, there were some turntables with different looks and good technical characteristics, but Technics is still the benchmark.
This record player has a special culture and legendary reputation among DJs.
In order to absorb harmful vibrations, the unwindable, spring-loaded rubber legs, rubber bottom cover, aluminum casting cover, special inner cover are used.
Accurate cruise control is ensured by a contactless motor driven by quartz-controlled electronics.
The shaft of the plate rotates in a strong bearing, and the plate itself contains vibration-absorbing rubber.
The unique design of the bearing of the tone arm is responsible for good groove retention and reduces the tendency to thrust.
MK5 includes the following technical innovations compared to MK2:
-Revised power button.
The button has been recessed so that it is no longer possible to accidentally switch off the appliance while driving.
- Modified speed control potmeter with no lock in the middle position.
In this way, speed control has been made more accurate, and finer adjustment is possible.
-The device is equipped with a shell holder next to the tower.
The spare shell can be safely stored here and is always at hand.
-The needle light bulb has been replaced with LED
-Antiskating has become stronger, adjustable up to 6g.

Technics is one and inimitable, still the best DJ turntable in the world!
